Australian men typically drink alcohol more frequently than women.
Among Australian men, 7% drink every day; 8% drink 5-6 days per week; 13% drink 3-4 days per week; 19% drink 1-2 days per week; 12% drink 2-3 days per month; 19% drink 1 day per month or less; and 21% abstain from alcohol.
Among Australian women, 4% drink every day; 6% drink 5-6 days per week; 9% drink 3-4 days per week; 15% drink 1-2 days per week; 14% drink 2-3 days per month; 28% drink 1 day per month or less; and 26% abstain from alcohol.
