Do younger and older Australian school students aged 12-17 years drink alcohol in different locations?

Among Australian school students aged 12-17 years who drank alcohol in the past week, younger students tended to drink at home, while older students tended to drink at parties.

In 2017, among Australian school students aged 12-15 years who drank alcohol in the past week, 45% drank their last alcohol drink at home, 22% at a party, and 12% at a friend’s house.

In 2017, among Australian school students aged 16-17 years who drank alcohol in the past week, 28% drank their last alcohol drink at home, 36% at a party, and 18% at a friend’s house.
