Where do Australians obtain cannabis?
The majority (65%) of Australians who used cannabis in the past 12 months usually obtained it from a friend. Dealers were the usual source of cannabis for 18% of cannabis users.
Among Australians who used cannabis in the past 12 months, 65% usually obtained their cannabis from a friend, compared to 18% from a dealer, 6% from a relative or partner, 4% from plants they grew themselves, and 7% from other sources.
