Australian men typically drink alcohol more frequently than women.

20% of Australian men abstain from alcohol, compared to 25% of women; 19% of Australian men drink 1 day per month or less, compared to 28% of women; 13% of Australian men drink 2-3 days per month, compared to 12% of women; 19% of Australian men drink 1-2 days per week, compared to 16% of women; 13% of Australian men drink 3-4 days per week, compared to 10% of women; 9% of Australian men drink 5-6 days per week, compared to 6% of women; and 8% of Australian men drink every day, compared to 4% of women.
